Elizabeth Hemming is the artist behind EH Art & Portraiture, established in 2019. Based in Stourbridge, West Midlands, her journey began with commission-based pencil portraiture, creating detailed, bespoke drawings that capture the character and individuality of people, pets and special moments.

After several years focusing solely on commissions, Elizabeth expanded into teaching in 2024, sharing her skills and passion for drawing through accessible, confidence-building tuition in realistic pencil portraiture classes and beginner's workshops.

In 2025, Elizabeth introduced live wedding portraiture, bringing her artwork into the heart of the wedding day. She captures the couple’s special “You May Now Kiss…” moment in a photograph, then works discreetly from the image throughout the day to create a highly detailed pencil portrait. Guests can watch the artwork develop, before the finished portrait is presented to the couple as a unique keepsake of their special day.

Today, EH Art & Portraiture encompasses commissioned portraits, art education and live wedding portraiture — all centred around Elizabeth’s love of pencil drawing and her passion for creating meaningful artwork that people can treasure.
